Azerbaijani Citizens Can Now Visit the UAE Without a Visa

This allows Azerbaijani citizens to visit the UAE for tourism purposes and stay in the country for up to 90 days. The decision to introduce the visa-free regime was made in mid-May 2023.

Previously, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan signed a law ratifying a memorandum on mutual recognition and exchange of driver's licenses with the UAE. This memorandum was signed on November 16, 2022, in Abu Dhabi. Thanks to this agreement, Azerbaijani citizens will be able to rent cars in the UAE without the need for an international driver's license.

Azerbaijan, located on the shores of the Caspian Sea, is renowned for its ancient city of Baku, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visiting this city is worth it to learn about Azerbaijan's history.

One of the magnificent examples of Azerbaijani architecture from the 15th century is the Palace of the Shirvanshahs. This grand complex includes the main palace building, the stone courtyard of Divan-khane, and the Shah Mosque.
