The unified Gulf tourist visa will enter into force before 2025

The Gulf Cooperation Council countries have approved a unified Gulf tourist visa. The visa will allow visitors to travel to six countries on one visa and is aimed at attracting tourists and promoting economic integration. The visa is expected to be implemented in 2024 or 2025, depending on the readiness of the internal regulations of the GCC countries. The UAE Tourism Council is also preparing a tourism route that connects the seven emirates in preparation for the implementation of the unified visa. This initiative is part of the GCC's 2030 strategy to increase the contribution of the tourism sector to the GDP and make the region a leading tourist destination. The GCC countries have a developed infrastructure for the travel and tourism sector, with a total of 10,649 hotel establishments by the end of 2022. The number of visitors to the Gulf countries is expected to reach 128.7 million by 2030, with an increase in tourist spending.
