The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) has updated its holiday home policy so that farmhouse owners can now obtain licenses to convert their property into holiday homes.The revised holiday home policy of DCT Abu Dhabi now encompasses farm stays, caravans, and motorhomes. This policy allows landlords and unit owners to obtain multiple holiday home licenses for multiple units, presenting a significant prospect for investors and real estate management firms.

Farmhouse owners are given a grace period of six months to begin the process of licensing their property, which aims to ensure a smooth transition and avoid any potential penalties.
