Agreement to develop the digital power of attorney service to complete government services

His Excellency Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice, Her Excellency Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future and Chairperson of the Supreme Committee for Government Digital Transformation, and His Excellency Lieutenant General Talal Belhoul, Chairman of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), signed a cooperation agreement to develop a digital power of attorney service project. This project aims to allow citizens and residents to authorize others to conduct digital government transactions on their behalf.

Efforts are being made to enhance digital services and simplify government procedures through the Ministry of Justice's Government Digital Services Agency project. Collaboration between government agencies is crucial for comprehensive integration in the services provided by the Ministry of Justice.

The digital power of attorney for government services aligns with the Supreme Committee for Government Digital Transformation's goals to improve integration, competitiveness, flexibility, and digital harmonization between projects and systems. The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority is pleased to partner with the Ministry of Justice in advancing digital enablers and expanding services through advanced digital channels. The Ministry of Justice demonstrates a forward-thinking vision for the digital future in line with the UAE's 2031 vision. The government's digital transformation has reached an advanced level through cooperation between agencies, and further collaboration is expected to drive comprehensive and integrated digital transformation.

Under the digital power of attorney service, individuals can select a government entity and service, request a power of attorney for another person, and have it issued directly and added to the digital wallet. The agency can be fixed-term or open-ended.
